With my first i had him at 37 weeks. I had contractions on and off from about 30 weeks. I was dialated to 4cm before i went into labour. I remember having loose stool for about a day or two, babies movements slowed right down and i ended up un l&d checking him out, i had high blood pressure and felt like crap the day i went into labour. Ended up at l&d all day having my blood pressure and everything checked out. The moment i left the hospital i started getting contractions. I ended up back in about an hour later and had my son wihin 6 hrs! I had no idea that day i was gonna go into labour but as soon as my contractions started i knew.

I've never went into Labour early and I'm a ftm but was also curious to this as I felt I might be facing it so I got this off Google.. Hope it helps, just nobody else was responding lol so had to go with googling it lol

In pre-labour or early labour (the latent phase), you may have:
Persistent lower back pain or abdominal pain, with a pre-menstrual feeling and cramps.
Painful contractions that occur at regular and increasingly shorter intervals, and become longer and stronger in intensity.
Your membranes may rupture with a gush or a trickle of amniotic fluid. Either way, call your maternity unit to let them know.
A brownish or blood-tinged mucus discharge (bloody show). If you pass the mucus plug that blocks the cervix, labour could be imminent, or it could be several days away. It's a sign that things are moving along.
An upset tummy or loose bowels.
A period of feeling very emotional or moody.
Disrupted sleep.
