sleeping on side

I've been having issues sleeping. I can't get comfortable. I used to sleep on my stomach, but can't anymore. Sleeping on my back is the most comfortable, but I've heard its bad while pregnant. I have a body pillow on both sides of me but I can't get comfortable on my sides. Idk what else to try.

Oh god no,  you could probably still sleep on your stomach. It'll be uncomfortable before it gets dangerous to sleep on your stomach. And once baby starts to dislike you laying on your stomach, you will KNOW. Hahaha :p I'm 28 weeks and haven't been able to since 22 weeks. My little lady pushes against the bed if I try for more than a minute.

I usually have the pillow between my knees or one leg over. But thank you for the info. I'm only 15w2d so I'm assuming its not as risky as if I were farther along.

It's only bad if baby presses against your spine. Then it cuts of a major artery that pumps blood to and from your legs and baby. The cord thing is uh. The first I'm hearing of that so.. pretty sure your baby has the same chance of coming out with the cord around their neck when you're not laying on your back. And even then, I had mine around my neck twice when I came out and I'm clearly just fine :p only time it's a problem is when it isnt fixed and attended as soon as baby's out.
But if you use thick and hard pillows to prop you up so youre more laying on your side than your back, it pushes your uterus more to the side and not on your spine.
Tips for sleeping on your side are putting a pillow between your thighs, or doing what I do and propping a pillow under my stomach and flailing my leg over the bottom half of it. Feels more like you're on your stomach, cuz your stomach is covered with soft goodness. Turned out that's what I'd been missing most :p

That's why I keep body pillows  on either side so I can easily put them between my knees but it doesn't help

Im only 14wks and i feel so uncomfortable haha when i try to sleep it takes forever to get comfy, i feel like i ate a huge meal and its uncomfortable for me to lay a certain way i can't even cuddle my man without getting fidgety....putting a pillow between my knees seems to help most of the time

I can sleep on my back but I try not too.  I've heard it can cause poor blood flow or cause the cord to wrap around the baby idk if the cord thing makes sense but it makes me nervous.

I cant get comfortable in any position at all for longer than five minutes so I basically have a five minute window to fall asleep or I have to keep switching sides for hours and hours -_-
