I have heard from a few sources, although I can't be
Certain, they're coming from reliable folks, that whatever you take in AFTER 20 weeks can show up in baby's meconium (poop) and that it's a super reliable test. I heard in some places it's legal to test baby in the hospital, if there's a suspicion of drug use, and they are require to report to CPS any positive results.
I think after just one hit, you're probably fine. Also, if you're presenting well to the doctor (IE. healthy weight gain, making all your appointments, healthy pregnancy, apparently good lifestyle choices, etc.) they shouldn't have any reason to test baby, as it's not a routine test, because the test is expensive.
Because of all of the above possibilities, I wouldn't even take a chance of smoking in the future. I would recommend talking to your doc about getting on a prescription anti nausea medication to help in the future, so you're not tempted if you're really sick. Also, Benadryl and/ or Unisom over-the-counter is supposed to help w nausea. Take care.

You'll be fine. :) 1 hit probably won't turn up on anything. I smoked ALL the time before I got pregnant and when I found out my morning sickness was already horrible. I'd take 2-3 hits every night before I went to sleep to help me sleep without a splitting headache. I stopped before 10 weeks though. But you should be good. :)

Honestly, not to condone it, but there is no proven fact that it hurts the baby. I personally know at least 5 people who did smoke during their pregnancy and every single one of their babies came out super calm, and extremely alert. Certain doctors will even prescribe it to pregnant women for nausea, and pain. Yes, it will be out of your, and the babies system by the time of birth as well.
