Im sorry but would you hand your baby a cig?  Thats exactly what youre doing when u smoke with baby inside you. I think irs awful and selfish that u cant quit for 9 months to give your baby the best health possible.

If you just cant quit smoking, make sure you tell your dr that you still smoke so they can monitor the baby closer and make sure everything is going as it should with baby. In most cases, smoking alone isn't gonna cause complications. But make sure you take your vitamins every single day, eat healthy, exercise so that you are otherwise healthy. I, too, had trouble quitting smoking. I probably wouldn't have quit but i got really sick and the mere thought of a cigarette made me feel sicker. I smoked the first 4 months and my baby and me are completely healthy and fine and im almost 8 months now!! I hope this helps. :)

I quit during my first pregnancy (a suprise baby) by about 7 weeks. After I finished breastfeeding I had a ciggarette or two a day & gave up just before we found out we're pregnant with number 2 still crave them all the time!! I had my first cigarette during this pregnancy yesterday after having a crazy stressful week & then topping it off with a car accident :( I felt so guilty afterwards but my body was screaming at me for 5 minutes to myself & a cigarette. I think everyone who smokes should make an effort not to but it doesn't mean you can just throw them in the bin & be done for everyone. Talk to your doctor :)

My doctor told me to quit my vapor CIG and if I must smoke, smoke cigs. Those vapors are not fda approved or regulated and they don't know what side effects they could cause. At least with cigs u have a idea on what could happen

Have you tried those vapor cigarettes? Maybe try to add that in place of some of your cigarettes to try to cut back.

Even if you can't quit (I managed but at 31 weeks is still crave them) then just cut down. Any smoke inhalation will cut off the oxygen to your baby and it can cause issues. It sort of depends on the baby and the body... Try to cut down day by day... Set a limit and talk to your doctor. Quitting cold turkey can harm as well. I suggest speaking to your doctor
