With my first I quit the second I found out. I was 17 my parents wouldn't quit in the house so they only did it in their room only and I freaked if I saw it anywhere else. I loved smoking but my son is more important. 6 years later I still don't smoke. Children of smokers are like 80% more likely to smoke and I don't want that to happen to him

My mom smoked through all of her pregnancies. She lost one baby at 4 1/2 months, she lost another baby at 8 months. I was the heaviest of 5 surviving children and weighed only 5 1/2 lbs. The youngest was preemie, two months early, and weighed 2 lbs 9 oz. We are all low birth weight babies. Smoking was likely the cause. Second hand smoke is just as dangerous, so if avoid it and ask people to step away when they smoke.

Even second hand smoke can be harmful. Ask them to smoke outside and not around you. Visit smoke free houses. Just the smell can make some women nauseous.
