Leaking amniotic fluid or urine?

I'm 39 + 3 and I have been having this leaking off and on lately. I can always count on having it after I pee. I sit on the toilet until I am completely finished and cannot go anymore. I then wipe and make sure everything is dry but as soon as I stand up I leak a little something. I also have this happen when I am laying down and walking around. I wear a panty liner. I have also lost 4 lbs without changing my diet or exercising. What would you ladies think about this if you were in my situation?

I should also mention that towards the end of  my most recent pregnancy, I did leak urine after I would go pee. It sounds a lot like what you describe, I would wait until I was sure I peed all my pee then wipe, and when I would stand I would leak. But it did not happen at other times, Only when I went to the bathroom.

I leaked with my first. When I would lay down for a while and then get back up l would have a trickle. What happened was I had a small hole and the babies head was pressed firmly on the cervix, so while standing it plugged the hole, but when I laid down it would take pressure off the cervix and allow for some to trickle out. Mine was like this for 3 days, I went into l&d the first day and they said it was urine (which it was not) and by the time the contractions actually started, I had a fever from being ruptured for 72 hours. Best to go and have them check. Hopefully it's amniotic fluid!! Good luck!

I'm sorry I barely.got on anymore, but I came describe it I think its instinct you will know. Also I forgot to mention you can go to the L&D and they an do a strip test, its real quick!

This happened to me at 39+3 also and it was anniotic fluid, it may seem a little odd but after I was leaking for so long I decided to smell and it didn't smell like urine so my doc told me to stay home and I would go for a check up in the morning and my water broke that night, you may wanna smell, amniotic fluid has a distinct smell, even the nurses could smell it when I walked into L&D Goodluck!
