I'm 39 weeks 2 days, my mucus plug is completely gone and I still take baths. You can take them until your water breaks. Even if your plug is gone your water saves your child from any bacteria.

I take baths everyday. I refuse to shower since I've slipped so many times in my bath tub. And mine are pretty warm. I just make sure that im not in very long because you do not want to raise your temperature in turn raising babies temp.

Until your water breaks unless you're having a water birth, and are already in the hospital being monitored. After your water has broken, the infection risk is too high to sit in the tub, but as long as the temp isn't too hot, you can take a bath until the very end. (:

I'm 37 weeks and have already lost my plug. A lot of women give birth to their babies in the water because the water takes so much pressure off the body

The reason they say not to take baths is because it raises your body temp and thats harmful. But if its luke warm then your fine as long as your plug hasn't come out yet.
