someone ease my mind!!

So I have my c section in two weeks and I have had one before but it was an emergency c section and I was so tired/drugged up I can't remember much of it. But I know there are risks to c sections like blood clots to your lungs during surgery and I can't help but freak out about that!! I don't want to die while giving birth. I am so scared.  I probably sound dumb for being scared, but I really am.. my husband keeps saying I'll be fine and what not, but does that really happen to a lot of women?

I had preeclampsia and was induced at 38 weeks then after getting all the way to 10 they realized she was face up and my blood pressure was so high the Dr was worried other things would go wrong. hShe turned 2 last month.

I was going for a vbac but I don't
have anyone to watch my son while I'd be in labor and know one knows how long or when I'd be in labor, so this was the only option I had unfortunately for someone to be there to watch my son in the waiting room :/

Why did you need one? My son was almost out but the cord wrapped around him and his heart rate dropped..

I was in labor almost 20 hours before I ended up having one. I remember bits and pieces but not to much

I was awake with my first too, but I was also in labor for 60 hours prior so I was super tired and when they numbed me from the chest down I was just completely drugged up and being tired from pushing for an hr I don't remember much. I don't remember leaving the O.R. or being in the recovery room that much either. It was a rough experience. I will for sure talk to my dr next week when I see her.

As much as they do them now days the chances of dying are not that high. I'm having one on the 9th also my second after having an emergency one with my first. As long as there are no problems you will be awake the while time, it's not that bad. I was awake with my first one. Everything will be fine. This is coming from the girl who thought she was going to die from getting her tonsils out 2 years before getting pregnant for the first time( i still have my tonsils by the way!) I my self can't figure why I freaked out about having my tonsils out but now I'm having a second baby! Make sure to talk about this with your Dr before going to the hospital, he may be able to help you out better and don't feel stupid, we all have our own fears about something

You have to think about those risk being so small. Even giving birth vaginally can have complications you just have to stay positive. Going in for an emergency c section and having one planned are different. Having one planned means everyone is ready for you and things will be so much more calm good luck mama
