I should tell hubby he should look into that job lol. Free tv would be cool with me
Nope he's actually busier in the summer, about dec-jan. is when he really slows down. We get free DirecTv thank god, or I'd be bored out of my mind too, haha!
Yeah buyin a gift every couple of weeks is smart to. Thats crazy i would think cable installers would have decent winters just cuz of football and all and people dont want to spend the winter looking at each other lol (me and hubby were just discussing whether to get cable or not haha cuz ill be bored outta my mind
That is a great plan, paying a year in advance and starting christmas in summer (here you can't put a layaway down until like Sept. each year, but even if you couldn't put a layaway down you could buy a gift a week, or a gift every two weeks and hide them, that way you're set before christmas) We have a 4 month lag in the winter, too, my husband is a DirecTv installation tech and it really slows down in the winter, not fun!!
Yeah anything at this point would be better and its hard for us to get second jobs because of vourse when spring and summer roll around were making great money its just the 4 month lag that kills us. This yr we plan to pay a years rent up at tax time our land lord is super nice and i think once we do that ill start a layaway in the summer for xmas lol that way we will be good for winter months. And thank the lord my car will finally be paid off in jan. I feel kinda bad considering asking my bosses for the unemployment but i cant aford to struggle
Yes definitely do that!! If you work less than 3 or 4 days a week (I think, not 100% sure though which it is) then you'll get some money. I had to do that when my company I was with was going out of business, and we were getting laid off or very few hours, I only got like 70 a week, but that's better than nothing! I know it, tax time needs to be year round haha!!
Thats weird that they kinda invade your space whenever they want. I dont think id be comforable with that lol. A girl i work with told me to apply for partial unemployment when i come back for the winter sense it gets so slow. Oh hopefully something works out. Is it tax time yet?! Lol!
Its short for temporary cash assistance. You can apply for it when your out on maternity leave if your work doesnt supply maternity pay for you or if your family is considered in need of assistance for basic household needs food, elec, rent. Im new to it so im not sure of every detail. You can call your local health dep and ask if your state provides that kind of gov help.
I know it, it seems the ones that DO work their butts off are the ones that can't get help, the ones that sit home get all the help. Housing assistance is where they can pay part of, or possibly all (depending on your income) of your rent. When my sister went through it they had to have people approve the house, as long as it's sanitary and safe for a family, it usually gets approved. That helped her out a LOT, she went down to paying like 60$ a month, but they do random pop ins if they want to check the house, and so you have to write all who's living with you when you fill it out, they allowed her someone to stay 3 nights a week, and they couldn't keep their stuff at her house (her boyfriend at the time). Wherever you go to apply for food stamps, ask them about housing assistance and see if you qualify.
How do you apply for tca?? What is that or is that only for a certain state??
Whats housing assistance? I have food stamps now but not much just because i was working so much. But i work in a restaurant so winter time comin its gonna be pretty slow and they raise the food stamps a little. I dont want to take advantage of the system i work my butt off and just need a little help for a short time and its showin to be rather tough.
I haven't personally done it, but my sister applied for it and she literally had to have NO income at all, any sort of income at all, vs. bills and other assistance she got. I guess it's pretty hard to get it, and she was getting food stamps and housing assistance as well. Also, you have to be careful if your BD is living with you and you're not claiming him. If you do get it though, I wouldn't count on it paying all the bills, and the expenses of children. I hope things work out for you, definitely apply for food stamps, maybe housing assistance, etc, and that should help you out at least a little.
Well i have a 1 yr old already and due in 2.weeks and i work full time but i dont claim my bd cuz he doesnt work much in the winter and all the bills are in my name. I only plan to be outta work for 3 months tops well i was hopin to anyway if the assistance would atleast cover rent and elec. 400 a month barely covers the car payment :( ugh i was hoping this time around id get a break and be able to stay home with the kids
No matter how much you pay in bills they dont care they want to know but dont care theyll just give you what your family size qualifys for theres already a chart for family size
Here in california its based on your family size & how much money your STILL bringing in like me im a part time asst. With two kids a full time student husband & pregnant I ONLY make about 700 a month & I get 400 in cash aid and thats NOT enough at all!
Talk to social service and see wat they say..I have never done it...your job doesn't pay u for maternity leave?
