spotting during pregnancy

Hello everyone! I am new to the pregnancy forum. I had a miscarriage & D&C done in June this year. A week later my fiance & I started TTC again. July I got my period but it was mainly spotting with a few normal cycle days. Then in August I got my period again but it was mainly spotting again with a few normal cycle days just like in July. I started getting a lot of pregnancy symptoms so this past Sunday the 6th of Sept. I took a pregnancy test that morning & it was positive!!! I stopped my cycle last week but I've still been spotting. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience this while pregnant. I had my son in March 2007 he was 5 weeks early & I never had any spotting or anything & then after having a miscarriage I guess I'm just a little paranoid at times. Any stories you have that ended in a normal pregnancy or any advice at all would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant with my third child and spent weeks 4-9 of the pregnancy in and out of the early pregnancy unit due to heavy spotting and cramps. When the doctor rang to tell me I was pregnant I had started bleeding the day before and had assumed my period was starting, so it was quite a shock to get the phone call. After many many blood tests to check HCG levels, 3 internal scans and one abdominal scan we were pleased to discover the pregnancy was progressing as expected and at my 20 week scan we were delighted to discover we are having a healthy litttle boy.
However the doctors were unable to tell us why the spotting had occured or where the blood was coming from. The spotting stopped for good at about 9 and half weeks. And it never occured in my two previous pregnancies.
I hope your story too has a happy ending.

Ok thanks. I had some bleeding during the last pregnancy where I miscarried but it hasn't been the same with this pregnancy. It's mainly just been spotting around the time of my period.
