so its kinda funny how it all turned out.
im 31 weeks pregnant now and me and my boyfriend have been trying out different names, and when we told this one name to friends and family, and told them it was the one we were gonna stick with....... the reactions OMG!
i heard everything from "are you SURE?"
to " Theyll just get made fun of!"
and even worse ones from family.
well my stepmom comes over the other day and wants me to name my child "schooshie" which was my dads PET name fro me when i was small and mean little one in japanese.
i just went crazy! i was like no way will i name a child that! and of course she started talking **** about the name i had picked.... it was after my dad literally lied to her to get her to leave(he could see she was pissin me off LOL) that me and boyfriend decided ya know what? WE like the name, and my son likes the name, and thats all that matters!

yeah i heard all kinds of comments......"Domino? like the pizza place!?" my favorite one.... and NO not like the pizza place! and no not like the bounty hunter/movie and no not like the game!!! we just love the name! and if i have to pick on of the above three i guess id pick, "yeah like the bounty hunter, that way my little girl will kick your kids butt if you make fun of her name!"

I knew someone a couple of years ago who named her daughter Isyss. The only thing that sounded weird was when you referred to something that belonged to the baby...as in "Isyss' toy." There were way too many Ss.

It's unique! It's pretty cute...I say go for it!

haha, if people keep aggravating  you about "why" you picked domino, say all you can remember of her conception was the parking lot you were "playing" in!!!!!

i'm not big on original names(due to the "picking on" thing), but i definitely like that! and Isis, i've heard that in a book or movie, but i can't seem to wrap my head around where i heard it.....

Good for you! Name your baby what you want. It's waaaaaaaaay better that schnookums or whatever the heck that other name was. Plus, all the kids in her class will think she has the coolest name!

my boyfriend thought it would be cute to use "dice: as a nickname ya know d for domino ice for isis? my son keep pointing to my belly and calling it dices!
my friend thought dysis would be a good nickname also... im happy it seems to be a good fit for the baby!
and i own the movie, and love it!

I like Isis Domino better, but I LOVE that it is original! I am all about the originality! Gpo for it! I have a very common name and would have appreciated it if my parents were more inventive!

I like the name, it isn't run of the mill, over popular or over the top crazy. Stick with your choice. I do like the nickname of Dom (not Domi). Isis is a beautiful middle name and so strong!

I like it! Ever seen the movie Domino? Thats one bad-*** chick! I say go for it! I don't think it will get made fun of...When people refer to the pizza place, just be like..."where do you think they got the name!?'' lol. Great choice!

I *love* Isis ...I love Egyptian and Greek mythology ...so a lot of those names are kick ***.  =D  Domino Isis is definitely different ...but it's a lot better than Moon Unit or Pilot Inspektor!  Domino actually reminds of 'Grease' ...it's got that feel.  =D

And if you decide ...you can call her by a nickname ... Domi (dah-mee) ...or Izzy (for her middle name Isis).  Or even pick up the nickname your dad called you when you were little.  =D
