Always going to be worried...

Well, i think that i should know the answer to this question but i don't. I'm pregnant with my 2nd baby, 17 wks 1 day and i was just wondering if i should be feeling kicks already. Some women say that they feel kicks very early with their second but that's not the case with me. I sometimes don't even feel flutters.
I've been having a lot of pressure though in my pelvic aread like sharp pains that come and go, does anyone know what that is? It's more on my left side.
Can any of you ladies help?

Theres a girl on here who was on her 4th kid and didn't feel kicks till i think 20wks or so. I wouldnt worry yet. A lot of things play into factor, like where ur placenta is located, ya know stuff like that.

That pain could just be your uterus stretching making more room for baby. I remember getting that pain with my son and I'm sure I'll be experiencing it all over again! Everyone is different when is comes to feeling flutters or kicks. When did you feel them with your son? Are you at least feeling some flutters? Sometimes if the placenta is in front, it can make it very hard for you to feel those movements, and the baby could very well be moving all around, like kicking toward the back, and you won't feel that yet. If you don't feel anything at all by 20 weeks, I would call your doc and maybe you can have an u/s.

When you feel kicks depends on a number of factors and typically ranges from about 12-24 weeks.

The pressure could be a Braxton Hicks contraction - does the area tighten when this happens?
