strange symptoms...late period

I am 20 years old. I follow my cycles zealously and I know for a fact that I had unprotected sex during my fertile days which I have been doing because I am trying to conceive. I am very confused because my period is 8 days late and there is virtually no sign of it coming. I have never been late or missed a preiod. I am regular at 26-28 days. I have been experiencing all PMS symptoms just very mildly compared to usual. I don't feel pregnant. The difference between PMS symptoms and pregnancy I guess would be frequent urination and constipation. I feel constipated and bloated at times with strange, very obvious twinges in my uterus area. But I am NOT urinating frequently. I have no nausea but have lost appetite completely, which shouldn't happen if you're pregnant, right? Im dreading the pregnancy test, so is there any advice anyone has? Does it sound like a missed period for no reason, or pregnancy?

Actually, if you are pregnant you may or may not have any of the classic symptoms. I am 22 weeks pregnant and I have never had constipation, the frequent urinating started around week 7 and I never had any nausea at all.  I actually don't eat any more than I used to except for breakfast (and I force myself to eat breakfast everyday now) because my appetite isn't very active.
None of those common pregnancy symptoms are 100% some women get them, some don't, for some its mental, for other's they are obviously very sick.
The only way I found out I was pregnant was through a pregnancy test because I didn't have symptoms besides sore breasts which happens to me every month right around my period, and even when I found out, I didn't "feel" pregnant until I was like 11 weeks.

Test, that's the only way that you'll know.

Oh, I forgot to mention above that I have been experiencing an increase in creamy, white discharge from my cervix. I don't know if that is also meaningful towards accurately predicting my situation.
