braxton hicks/cramps

People on here have said that they are just uncomfortable, tightening sensation but mine are getting quite painful? My midwife said they were braxton hicks but for some reason i think it could be something more.. im 31 weeks and when i get them i can barely walk :/ has anyone else experienced them? Ive noticed as the week has gone on iv been getting more more and the pain is worse..

N im 37 weeks so ull get braxtons until u get real contractions.. its good to have braxtons bc its gettin the uterus ready

Mine are painful and always have been since i was like 18 weeks butvim used to it now so i jus  massage my belly n breathe thru it n that wrks for me

Ive been drinking water and sitting down but every time i get up i cramp :( is this normal?

Try drinking water and laying on our left side. I had some very painful ones to and called the Dr and this is what I was told. It really helped. The warm bath helped to.

Ohh lucky me, getting the painful ones haha! I just sit down and drink water until theyre gone, apparently being dehydrated makes it worse, well thats what i read on google haha :P

I'm 30 weeks. I have painful braxton hicks too. I have to sit down and breathe through them because it is very painful.

Hmm i guess time will tell, hopefully it gets better and i go the rest of my pregnancy without any problems, and goodluck hope you get good news!:) x

I'm not sure, I know they can become more painful the closer you get to your due date. I've been having painful ones since 28 weeks, and was given pain meds by a Dr at the labour ward - I was admitted cause they thought I was goimg into preterm labour, but now they are becoming a lot more painful :-( I find hot baths and bouncing on my birthing ball help slightly, but doesnt take it away entirely.  I have midwife in 5 days and getting a sweep so will be checked to see if I'm dilated any, fingers crossed.... X

Yeah i was wondering if they are going to be painful for the rest of my pregnancy? So over them already lol!

Oh goodness I'm 31 weeks aswell and I am experienceing this as well. I was worried k was going into labor. But they stopped after an little while. Do any of you know if that means labor is near if your having such painful braxton hix contractions?

Poor you, no my Braxton hicks are terribly painful, and come regularly ie every 15 minutes, I had them two days straight earlier this week,, thought it was finally labour, but wasnt x. I'm 39+1 x
