strep b

So ladies.. I am strep b positive and I'm 4cm and 100% effaced. My water isn't broke I'm being induced on Monday. How long do I need antibiotics in order for it to not be a harm to my baby?? I'm afraid I am going to go quickly because that's what everyone even my doctor says! I don't want him sick. I know they are starting an iv and antibiotics when I arrive and he's breaking my water when I get there but I didn't ask about the timing.

I dont think there is a time but as long as both bags of antibiotics are in before baby is born then its good. At least thats what ive seen when i was with a friend last year when she had her little girl.

Don't worry the iv is fast delivery for antibotics I never got the results for my strep b test because I had to be induced that day. I was 35 weeks with preeclampsia. They put me on antibiotics and my baby was fine.

Well he is very anxious to get this baby out lol. I've been 4cm since 34 weeks so he said he isn't going to wait to break it, which is fine, I just want the antibiotics. I was on them when I stayed in the hospital but that was 4 weeks ago so he didn't seem too concerned about not having enough time so I trust him. Lol

I think it is 4 hrs and I thought you get two rounds of antibiotics. I had it but can't remember. Ask if it is safer to give you antibiotics then.maybe break your water so your more at ease
