i go in for this same thing tmrw. they swab from front to back and check for it, if you do have it they give you antibiotics while in labor as it  can cause the baby to get pneumonia

Wont harm you but can harm your baby so iv antibiotics during labor will need to happen, if you end up with a c-section it doesnt matter u wont need the antibiotics as your baby isnt going through the vaginal passage way where the infection is. Ive got it but had a c-section so wasnt a big deal to me. Dont worry as long as u get the antibiotics you will be okay

Ita supposed to be in your intestines but it can colonize your vag, they swab front to back. Its very easy for bacteria in your rectum to enter the vagina, that how you get UTIs a lot of the time. E.coli live in the intestines and during sex or improper wiping it gets introduced into the urethra. Everything is very close down there

Not a big deal. They just swab you for it, & if you have it you have to have antibiotics during labor. I had it, & it was no big deal.
