stretch mark creams and lotions

Has anyone had any good luck with any stretch mark creams?  I just purchased palmers tummy butter.  I already have stretch marks on my abdomen from weight loss/gain, but am really hoping they do not get any worse.  Any other methods to keep your skin in tip top shape?

Deep down in have a feeling it all has to do with the genes your born with.  However, if there is any chance that I will come out of this without fire engine red stripes I will try anything.

I also have the stretch marks from weight loss and gain since I was about 13! Lol but with my son I just used baby oil after every shower, everywhere. And didn't get any new stretch marks, not that I noticed anyway and that's good enough for me. Lol, I've been doing to same this time, I'm 21wks and haven't seen any new ones but they look a little darker, I'll see in a couple months!
