Membrane sweep??
Can anyone tell me what the actual success rate or this is? Like is it worth getting one or should I just wait lol?
A membrane sweep is when the Dr is able to fit at least one finger in your cervix and separate the bag from your cervix. Some women tense up way to much, which makes it harder for the Dr or Midwife to do the sweep without making the woman feel to much pain. It's very successful if you Truly Relax, because it disturbs the water bag and uterus. I'm definitely gonna request a Sweep.
I had one done with my first in 2009. (It hurt!!) But, I then went into labor that night & had my daughter the next day. :) Worked for me!
Argh well that's crap lol! I dunno what to do! My baby is fully engaged and I lost my plug a while ago. Although, my midwife said the plug grows back (which I didn't know) I'm just desperate now I think haha
No proof it actually works, its 50/50 and some doctors refuse to even do them bc they are painful and dont have a high enough success rate to subject the women to the pain.
