stretch marks

Has cocoa butter worked for anyone? I've been doing it everyday since the beginning of my pregnancy but now at 31 weeks I'm growing dramatically. Hoping it works

I used all natural Shea butter. And it worked great. I got two tiny stretch marks the day I went into labour because I forgot to put some on...so use it everyday, even on the delivery day.

Genetics come from both parents so because your mom didn't get any doesn't mean you will not. The women on your paternal side could have them. Genetics also doesn't work that everyone gets it; some will and some will not.
Creams fade the color but nothing but genetics and a prayer stops them.

I read an article that said coco butter is worse because it makes the skin sensative.

I've used cocoa butter for all of my pregnancies and I don't have 1 stretch mark what so ever and I'm pregnant with my 3rd right now. My mother and sister have stretch marks but I think I'm just lucky because I cake that lotion all over my stomach as well as my breast. And I do NOT scratch my stomach at all, I just rub it through the top of my shirt

Genetics can play a roll, but you can also prevent them.

Staying hydrated, a diet with lots of vitamins a & d (I'm pretty sure those are the ones), and starting with your skin products as soon as you find out your pregnant all can help skin elasticity which will mean your skin will most likely not get the stretch marks since the elasticity is high. Also gradual weight gain instead of all at once will help prevent them too.

My mother and the women in my family are full of stretch mark scars. I'm 30 weeks and not a single one and I'm carrying really big. I used Burt's bees momma bee oil after the shower and the belly butter whenever I've felt dry or itchy on my belly and been watching my weight and diet. The women in my family all had them by the second trimester so I would say what I'm doing has been working. Idk too much about cocoa butter. I bought it in my last pregnancy and the first time I used it I was so nauseated and had ms so bad I had to shower to get the scent off me. So no cocoa butter for me! Lol

Nothing is going to prevent them just fade them. It's heriditary so if the women in your family have them you will most likely get them to. But good luck
