Ftm, Glucose test Monday, anyone have any advice?

I'm 27 weeks and I'll be 28 weeks by the time I go for my glucose test monday. It's at 1:30 in the afternoon and I'm kind of nervous about it possibly making me sick at my stomach. Does it always do that? Is there any advice yall could give me about it? they said I didn't have to fast or anything but it's so close to lunch time do you think it's ok to eat something at about 11:00  or 11:30? What did you experience when you took it? I'm a ftm and this is the first time I've ever had to take this test so I'm kind of nervous about it. What does it taste like? If there is any stories you could share or advice you could give me for it I would really appreciate it! Thank you so much! And God bless yall!

I wouldn't worry about when you eat...but i agree, don't gorge on a bunch of junk :) if you do fail it, don't sweat it. The first test has a super high false positive rate. I failed my first and passed the second with flying colors. That's VERY common.

It didn't make me sick. But it's super sugary like everyone else said lol you should be okay to eat. I didn't eat before mine and I kinda wish I did bc I was wired after it lol

The drink I got was like a really strong surgery orange crush drink. And it was awful. Just try not to throw up and you should be just fine.

I had mine two weeks ago at 1pm. I ate a little bit of chicken noodle soup. They say eat something light and nothing suggary. The bottle they gave me was small and tasted like strong flavored water. Which didn't make me sick to my stomach but the nurse said some people do get sick. If you like suggary drinks it should be fine. Just drink little sips then chug it after a couple sips. It made me a bit dizzy but they waited til I was OK to walk back into the waiting room. I think you should be fine if you drink sugary drinks like soda or powerades, like me. But if you drink water a lot and not a lot of suggary drinks it may make you sick
