Being pregnant definitely takes a toll on our bodies and when we get sick we really do need to rest. For your sore throat try gargling with warm salt water 3 times a day it will kill any infection you might have. Also boil or warm up some water, squeeze a fresh lemon in the cup and even maybe throw sliced of lemon in the cup and put some honey in it. The lemon and honey will soothe the throat. Why do you say the doctor won't give you a note? You just have to ask them and they will give you one. I would definitely go in though, and take the day off and get some rest.
