sugar in urine?

Doctor did a urine test today and I had sugar in my urine, now he is worried about pregnancy diabetes, has anyone else had sugar in their urine without having diabetes be the cause?

It could be that you just ate something high in sugar before going into the docs office... Its usually after a few times of having sugar in your pee that they send you to do the glucose test to check for diabetes...

I did once, which alarmed my doctor for the same reasons.... but after follow-up tests (1hr glucose test & 24hr urine catch), everything was fine. Now I'm 34weeks & everything is perfectly normal-all 'risky' levels significantly dropped. The same may happen for you, but just make sure eating a well-balanced diet. Also, never have juice, milk, or any other sugary substance before an appointment. That was my mistake.lol
