Well I gotta take the sugar tell tomorrow. So how long does it take and is the drink  nasty bc I tend to throw up things I dnt like to eat or drink. This is my first child and I dnt know what to expect.  I jus dnt know what to expect. My doctor really doesnt explain much to me like I want her to

You go in and they have you drink a sugary drink then you wait around for an hour and the take blood.
I had the orange drink, the lady put it in a cup of ice which made it taste alot better then if it was warm. I failed the 1hr test and had to do the 3hr test.
Just dont eat or drink anything after midnight except water and try to hold the drink they give you down, if you throw it up then youll have to drink it again, if possible ask if you can get it cold.

I had to fast, and the drink itself wasnt too bad (it was the orange kind and was cold). It sucked that they made me drink it all in 5min and by the end it started burning my throat. But then you have to sit around for an hour then they draw your blood and your done. I threw it all up after they drew my blood luckily, or else i would have had to take the test again.

When iHad To Take My Test They Specifically Told Me iCouldn't Eat AnyThing The Day Before , They Gave Me Glucose (Basically A Drink With All Sugar) It Didn't Even Taste Nasty To Me iActually Like The Taste , It Tasted Like Orange Soda. They Game Me 5Mins To Drink It , But Before iWas Given The Time The Made Me Do A Urin Test, Then After iWas Done They Gave Me 30Mins To Just Rest, During Those 30Mins iFelt Dizzy & Sick. AfterWards They Just Took Out Blood & iWas Done.

With doctors like that you just have to ask a billion questions...but the first test lasts 1 hour and if you fail it then you take a second test which lasts 3 hours..the drink is pretty gross but try your best not to throw it up because you will have to drink another one..when I took mine they gave me 5 minutes to drink it so just sip it..I failed the first test but passed the second so don't freak if you fail the first one.

They shouldve given you directions on when you need to start the glucose. The drink is nasty, but if you throw it up you will have to keep doing it again. It's best just to suck it up and hold it in. LOL.
