Even when I conceived I was drinking wine. And I asked if that would have an effect on my baby and the doctor said no and so far she's as healthy as can be. I guess you are all right its best I talk to my doctor and just realize how comfortable I would be with drinking.
It all comes down to how comfortable you feel just drinking a glass of wine. I personally didn't drink any alcohol with my first pregnancy. Then, with my second I did drink a glass here and then. Maybe even 3-4 thru out my whole pregnancy. Dr didn't seem too concerned just suggested I don't do it often and of course no hard alcohol. With this my third pregnancy I had a cup of wine for New Year's. Everything seems to be fine so far and both my daughter's were born very healthy. Like I mentioned before whatever you feel most comfortable with, and don't feel pressured. ;)
When I asked my doctor last time she said it would be okay, one glass, but baby still growing and I know if I do drink I would also feel guilty too. Ugh. JLEWIS12 how many glasses of wine did you have? Just one? I'm very curious about this topic ladies
And I've asked before too. And I've heard the myth that one glass wouldn't hurt the baby, but still like you a glass dosent do anything for me either and I wouldn't want to do it because well my baby is still growing. Idk I guess ill give my doctor a call.
I've drank wine on special occasions nd my doc said it was perfectly fine I usually drink sangria w extra fruit nd drnk slowly while I eat my fruit
I tried it last pregnancy and I felt so incredibly guilty it was unreal. But you are allowed 4 oz. In most cases but truly up to you.
I would ask your doctor. I haven't tried it but I heard aglass of wine every now and then is fine during pregnancy. I personally wouldn't risk it just because Iknow just a glass of wine wont do anything for me and I stray away from anything that could possibly harm my baby. But again most doctors say a glass here and there is fine.
