medicaid taking forever
I started the process in mid june. And im STILL not approved. they havent asked for any more forms or anything its just that no one has reviewed it yet. My bills are stacking up and idk what to do. Id call and harrass them but i went through a program that is supposed to help make it easier on pregos to get approved. Ugh! Any advice?
I live in nc and im due in a week and since iv been pregnant iv been fighting with the medicaid ppl....i dont have it yet and have been denied 3 times...the first two because they sent mail to the wrong address so obviously i didnt receive it and couldnt respond and this last time they denied it aug 16th but wont tell me why...iv had 6 different case workers that never answer when i call or call me back when i leave a msg...my care manager at the clinic has also bugged them and gets no response...she got a hold of the supervisor and argued with him for 30 mins and all he did was change my case worker.....
Yes keep harrasing them thats what I did and somebody just approved me right over the phone.
Yea I would just go threw the DES OFFICE since it seem like the program amid taking so long! I never heard of it. But if the program is taking long to get out the application go apply at the des. Have all the info you need to give them proof of pregnancy etc. and you will have your telephone interview in like a week. Then you can call back within a few days and see if you approve and get your iD number so you can give to the doctors office.
I'm surprised it's taking so long! In Oregon they only have 45 days to make a decision. I would definitely call and stay on top of them!!
I'll give them a call too. I went through babies are beautiful which does all the paper work and everything for you so it's hassle free. Supposedly. I'll have to call both cause this is just dumb.
Vegas should of been had it done I just moved from Laughlin Nevada and that's an hour away from Vegas and goes threw the same Clark county system. It didn't take long for me you need to call and get on them if it was June it don't take that long! Or you need to re apply because it only stays in for so long and actually go up there and wait. Till they see you mite take forever but your pregnant. You should have been got a telephone interview by now should of got that like a week later. Call them tomorrow morning early when they open at 8 and if the line beeps keep calling back and the fastest you go threw to a person is by sayin you need a pin to use the system! They be so busy with the phone and etc so make sure you call around 7:55 so you can get threw!
I agree with 4thonecoming. Harass them if your pregnant and you have no insurance there supposed to go ahead and approve you.
That's craziness I got approved the same day. Took them couple of weeks to send out my things but I was approved to be able to book my appointments and stuff.
Call community medical if you have that there, they will give a temp card. But i would call twice a day every day this week until o got an answer.
Well dang that's alot of money to be paying..it's crazy that your insurance is taking forever..i would call them every day until they get tired of hearing my name if i were you
Jeez a temp card would be amazing. I've been paying 150$ for each ultrasound and my dr is wayyyyy more than that a visit. They had me paying a little at a time, like 50$ here and there when I could until the medicaid kicked in. Gah.
Mines didn't take long to get because i called and cussed them out...because they tired to deny me and i wasn't having that....i was like i need to know what's going on with my baby but my health department gives temporary insurances cards...so maybe you should try your local health department to see if they can be of any help....i hopes everything works out for you
That's messed up! Here in Ohio Medicaid has a max of thirty days to approve or deny. And you get a emergency medical card as soon as you turn in your proof of pregnancy to use until you are approved for medical for doctor visits. I hope things work out for you soon hun
I'm gonna call tomorrow. It's ridiculous. They're supposed to help but take 8yrs to approve and then they said they won't reimburse me for all one the out of pocket bills I've paid for. Ughhhhh
I hope so! I'm about to turn into pregozilla and demand to speak to whoever has the most authority
I know .. It's rough.. I see it everyday in my hospital.. It stinks... Aww good luck though.. hopefully everything comes through for you soon...
It's ok lol. Ugh. The girl said that medicaid was 2 months behind but jeez! I don't even know what to tell my dr. I was supposed to have an anatomy scan on Monday but I can't afford it, I can't even afford the dr visit.
Oh ok.. I only know the policies for Jersey... Sorry... I do know it takes a little while though... Depends...
I just got approved but it doesn't start till the 1st and I put in my app at the end of july
