swimming pools

at what age did you take your child into a swimming pool? i'm just wondering as we are coming into summer here in australia

My son was about 6 weeks old....we didn't stay in for very long, but he seemed to like it :)

at christmas she will be 4 months old so i think i will take her into my uncles pool. i just cant wait!

Both of mine were at 5 weeks old.....it was an indoor slightly heated pool, my doctors actually told me too for medical reasons...  now i can never get them out of the pool or tub lol  they love it!!!!!

I took my daughter when she was 2 months old but we were not there very long.  Because of the sunscreen issue like alaysha mentioned, I didn't want to be out very long.  

She is now 2.5 and LOVES swimming!  My family is actually in town so we were able to swim in the hotel pool last night.  She is such a little fish!

I think it's so important for kids to learn not to be scared of the water.  :)   I hope you have a good time if you take her out!

I took Aspen in when she was 6 months old. I was told that before that it could be bad to their skin since your not to put sunblock on until they are 6 months old.
