My sister tore and she was given tablets to put in her water so when she peed it didn't sting. I think the docs gave them to her so maybe just ask about them. She said they worked heaps for her :)
The Leaning forward definitely Helps a lot! I'm still waddling out of the bathroom because it is painful still lol.
There's not much you can do about the pain while urinating. I agree with bending forward while you are going. For temporary relief out of the bathroom, you could try putting your sanitation pads into the freezer (my hubby hates that, haha). The coolness is absolutely wonderful! Especially after the burn of urinating.
I feel your pain.. I've had two births so far, and both ended in tearing. I'm hoping this one won't, but I doubt it. Hang in there, it will heal over time. Good luck!
Yeah I asked my midwife how many stitches I had. My sis had two her first delivery and knew her second. My midwife told me she honestly didn't bother to count, but that she knows I had at least six just on the outside. Ouch! Luckily I'm feeling mostly normal now!
Yeah it is painful! At first he was like oh you barely type and was sitting there for like 45 minutes just stitching me up.
:( I know that feeling hon! I had a third degree too.
Ooh that's a good idea leaning forward. I would've never thought of that and yeahi got the witch hazel. I also got some awesome hemorrhoids too! Hurts to sit down
I'll bump this for you! Hope you can get some relief!
Did they give you witch hazel pads? Those were a godsend. They're usually used to treat hemeroids but they also feel great on stitches! Try a sitz bath were you put a couple inches of warm water with Epsom salt in the tub and rest your bottom in it. I never did that but my sis in law swore by it.
As weird as it sounds when your sitting lean forward and touch the floor. So you are kind of peeing while bending forward. I have friends that swear by it because now instead of your pee touching the stitches and all it should go straight down in the toilet.
I don't have advice jest wanted to say I'm sorry and I know how you feel! I didn't tear with my son but I had a 3rd degree epidiosomy, whetr they cut you instead of you tearing. Ughh it was so painful! Took me a few days to be able to get up and walk around with my son. I could only lay down with him. And I didn't get to change his diapers at all for the first day. It was terrible :( sending healing prayers to you! I'm praying I don't have that happen again with my daughter. My son was just too big for me!
