For your own peace of mind I would call cause I know how stressful it was for me seeing that and it was reassuring him telling  me. I can tell you what my dr said but I think you will feel better hearing it from your OB not some lady that has been through it before. But a miscarriage is very hard I have had three so I know and you can never be to careful. Anything that worries you don't hesitate to call them it's there job. :0)

I had exactly what you described all the way up to 15 weeks pregnant. I called my dr. upset cause I have a past of miscarriages and thought the worst. He told me as long as it didn't get any heavier not to worry, it never did and it only showed when I would wipe and occasionally I would have some on my underwear. I'm now 28 weeks pregnant. :0)

Spotting is normal. You have extra blood flow around your cervix. Bleeding with cramping isn't normal. To air on the safe side I would call your doc and make sure you aren't over doing it. Put your feet up and relax if you can.
