have anyone ever had a amniotic fluid test done before if so what is it for and how do they test you should i be worried

They stick a needle through your belly into the uterus and take some fluid. Most Dr don't do this anymore because their is a simpler and less scary way. they usually just draw some blood from your arm now.

Like an Amniocentesis? That's a genetic testing. You can find out everything from that. They usually do that to test for abnormalities. Like if your quad test came back positive for something. Then they could do that to check to be sure. Don't worry yet call your Dr and ask why they want to do that. Oh they take a really long needle and stick it in your belly into the uterus and amniotic sac and take some fluid for testing. They use ultrasound during so they don't hurt the baby.
