I say a lot of 1s.
Even if the baby is a little smaller, 1s will still fit.  They grow so fast. My daughter was in newborns for about a month but she could have worn 1s the whole time.

I got tons of newborn size diapers at my shower... I've just been buying sizes 1, 2 and 3 when they're on a good sale. Keep the receipt in case your lo grows out of a size before you open another box. Also, your kid's booty might fit huggies better than pampers. So I've been getting different brands and types to find the best. :)

I used a ton of newborn diapers and my son was 7 lbs. So allot of newborns and may a box or two ones.

I would get at a couple boxes of newborn and then a bunch of size 1...
