I have the forehead one, also a regular digital' because when I call the nurse emergency line, they make you take the temp in the baby's butt. That's how they do it at the emergency room as well. Because it's the most efficient way of getting a correct temp when babies are stil infants, anything can raise their temp on their skin, bath, hot room, been crying. So yeah I'd go with a regular digital for now until you can afford both, because you can take temp in the armpit with a digital when baby is older
Rectal is best but personally I can't do that so I use the good ear ones they're like 40$

I personally like the ones you can use for either mouth, armpit, or rectal. Rectal is always the best when they are little or thats what ive always been told because its the most accurate.
