thinning?
i'm 36 weeks pregnant with my first child. i'm 2.5 cm dilated. and i have pain around my pelvic bone. is it possible to feel your cervix thinning?
Anything is possible, yes. But there's just so much going on down there right now that it may be difficult to know if what you're feeling is your cervix thinning vs. something else.
So if it is your cervix that you feel thinning, then great! I always thought it was fun during pregnancies to take on the role of "observer" with your body, since it is on auto pilot while it builds baby.

It may be that what you're feeling is the front pubic bone pulling apart and separating a bit, normal for the end of pregnancy. That bone is made to adjust that way. If you google "pubic symphysis pregnancy" you'll find a ton of info on it.
