threatened miscarriage.

So about 5 days ago I was bleeding like I had started my period. I rushed to the hospital and they told me that my cervix was still closed and I have what they call a threatened miscarriage and to go home and doas little as possible and no heavy lifting. And by the next day the bleeding had stopped and since Ive just been cramping and having brown spotting. Gas anyone had this during their pregnancy? And if so did you go to term?

I had light pink spotting until 10 weeks. At 10 weeks, I bled and went to the ER. It wasn't a consistent flow but when I wiped it was like a light period, then it turned brown. They did an ultrasound and I too was told it was a threatened miscarriage. I am 17 weeks tomorrow and everything is fine! The brown spotting may mean the bleeding has stopped and it's old blood, like what happened to me. The cramping has me a little worried, but all you can do is wait. :\ The fact that the bleeding seems to have stopped could be a good sign. I was told it was "spotting" and it could continue to 23 weeks. Luckily I haven't bled at all since then. There are lots of reasons for bleeding during pregnancy. It's so scary. I want to cry thinking of you going through that. :( Best of luck!
