tight clothes & maternity wear.

At what point were your clother too tight & you needed maternity wear?
Just wondering when it is most likely that your waistline starts to expand.  been feeling bloated.  is this normal expansion, or too much junk food?

with my daughter, my clothes got tight and I started looking for maternity jeans.  I found that maternity jeans were huge (i was a really small person at the time).  I remember thinking... these pants will NEVER fit me.  low & behold... I gew a few sizes past them.  (my hips spread a lot too)

This time my weight is a bit bigger & I have some belly flab to begin with (dang lil debbies) I started at 125 & I'm about 5' 3".  My waistband feels tight at 7 weeks.  and the area below the waist feels bloated.  it is very uncomfortable in a lot of my jeans.

I can fit into my pre pregnancy jeans now at 33 weeks, but my belly is low and they won't button or zip. I use a hair tie through the button loop and around the button, and a belly band to cover the front so you can't see my undies.

With my first, it was around 14 weeks or a little earlier that I started wearing maternity pants but because with him I couldn't stand anything that came remotely close to feeling tight. I had to wear LOOSE clothes all the time in the beginning with him. This time around, I was bloated big time in the beginning, and it felt like my organs got pushed up instead of my uterus moving them around. For a long while I literally looked pregnant from the belly button UP, I had no "baby bump", just looked like I had a spare tire above my belly button, lol. BUT it went away by 20 weeks. 12-14 I started wearing maternity shorts this time because I couldn't stand tight stuff, and the bloating.

I could not wear my "normal" clothes from 8 weeks on, but I could not wear maternity clothes until 20+ weeks...Weird I know...I just wore bigger jeans or shorts and left them unbuttoned.....

oh belly bands are great...also, you can use a rubber band if you just need a teeny bit of stretch :)

well I was funny....both times I started wearing maternity stuff around 14wks, but then near the end with my son I could button my pre-pregnancy jeans under my belly from 30wks to the end...so it was really funny with me. I kept thinking "i'm never going to have maternity clothes big enough to fit over this belly!" and for a lark I slipped some jeans on at 30wks and buttoned them right up...near the end i had lost so much weight around my hips that I actually had to wear a belt....

but yeah, originally it was 14wks both pregnancies :).

Go get a belly band. they even have them at target. It will help you fit into your regular pants right now while your bloated. The trick is to fold it over once and it will hold your pants in place better.
