Clindamax??

Has anyone taken Clindamax for infections while pregnant?? I have some sort of infection and the nurse at the ER gave it to me last time, I was nervous about injecting a cream by my cervix what it might do, so I called the pharmacist and he OK'd it, and then I asked my OB nurse today at my appointment and she said it's okay for me to take, but I'm still nervous about it, will it effect the cervix at all??

If its for a BV I had one but I was given clindesse and it worked and cleared it up. What you had sound similar to clindesse its and applicator that you stick up at night. When I got it filled I asked the pharmacist if it was safe and he said it was...even though I didnt think that my doctor would give me something that would effect the baby

Was it for Bacterial Vaginosis? I was given Clindamax when i was about 13 weeks preggo and asked the pharmacist and doc about it.... they all said it was safe but to wait to take it until after your 12th week..... this is the safest thing us Preggo's can take to clear up a vaginal infections.... I think the other option to clear it up is Flagyl and that is NOT safe to take during pregnancy... I took it and it cleared everything up and baby was just fine! Definitely take the meds, it pays to have the infection cleared.... the doc told me that Bacterial Vaginosis (not sure that is what you have) can bring on pre-term labor... so the benefits definitely out weight the risks! Good luck!
