I will add though that I am on my 5th pregnancy. With all 3 of my healthy ones that resulted in a healthy baby, I had pregnancy symptoms like you are describing. With my other 2 that ended in miscarriage, I eexperienced few symptoms and my hcg levels were low. I personally think it is a good sign that you are having lots of symptoms. As far as the nausea and vomiting are concerned, if you are unable to eat or drink and keep anything down for more than 24 hours, I recommend you go to the ER so you can receive fluids. This way you won't become dehydrated. They also make medication (I used zofran) that can prevent nausea and helped me a lot. Good luck with your pregnancy!
The hormone secreted during pregnancy is hcg. A rise in hcg levels is one of the causes of pregnancy symptoms. Hcg rises fairly quickly in a healthy pregnancy (doubles every 48 hours approximately). Assuming you have a healthy pregnancy and hcg levels rise normally, the hormone would cause pregnancy symptoms. This is where people get that the more symptoms you have, the higher your hcg, the healthier the pregnancy. Miscarriaues are often indicated by lower hcg levels which would cause fewer symptoms. However, it really just depends on how your body reacts to the hcg hormone and symptoms are not generally a good indicator of if the pregnancy will progress or not.
We all worry throughout the pregnancy. I thought it would go away after the first trimester... nope! Just try to somehow calm your nerves, odds are everything is just fine :)
As for the symptoms thing, it wasn't true in my case. Skipping a period wasn't unusual for me, and because of the complete lack of symptoms, I didn't even test until I was 8 weeks pregnant. Have had an awesome pregnancy so far with a healthy little boy at almost 26 weeks now.
Congrats!
I'm now 38 weeks and never had any symptoms. Orp problems, babygirl is as healthy as ever
Thank you! Honestly reading about other womens miscarriages on this app scared me. Some of them said they experienced no symptoms, that the ultrasound just showed them the baby had no heart beat. Really freaked me out. Ive had pretty much all the symptoms you could list, which is stressful on its own. I also feel almost guilty for not being able to keep food down. Obviously I want my baby to have a healthy weight and all that. This honestly just feels like a prayer matter… haha thanks again though.
It is here nor there whether the more sick you are the more healthy you are, I am also 11 weeks 3 days today and I am very sick! It's totally normal!! Your body is going through many hormonal changes so that's why you are sick! But I already had an ultrasound and the baby is super heathy! Seen it moving around and everything!!!! I was also worried about a miscarriage , but the doctor reassured me that if you WERE having a miscarriage you would have severe severe back pain, severe cramps (which is normal) bur WITH lots of blood. Cramping is totally normal and will happen throughout the whole pregnancy as the baby grows! Hope I helped a little (:
