trying the oj & milk thing

I'm super scared but I will be attempting the orange juice (100%) & milk (whole). Let's see if it does anything for me and hope and pray to God that I don't throw up or chicken out.

My doctor now says February 6th, but there's no way my son is way to big.. Agreed I would be 37 weeks almost 38 weeks with my very first due date.
It's okay no need to explain.  I was premature only 3lbs 4oz when I was born I was over a month early and I'm a twin.
Premature baby's run in my family.

So what does your current doctor say your date is? I'd go by the earlier ultrasound, they are more accurate and it lines up better with your LMP. Also could explain your contractions, because you're farther along than they think you really are. Your body is could be more progressed due to being farther along. I wasn't trying to be rude earlier and probably should of worded some things better than I did, I lost a nephew that was born premature, so it can be a touchy subject.

No they never told me why it was changed. January 5 - 8th is the first one I was given at 8 weeks , the other 2 were after 16 weeks.
My last period lines up to the first due date.
I've had 5 -6 ultrasounds and every single one the ultrasound technician Said I would have my baby way sooner then February 6th but never explained why, I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so I'm going to ask what they saw on my last ultrasound (2 weeks ago)
My son weights around 5 lbs or so right now,  I've carried him in my back the hole pregnancy.

Did they say why they keep changing your dates? Did they do an early ultrasound? The earlier they are the more accurate they say. Everything aside, hopefully the rest of your pregnancy goes good. The OJ and Milk drink didn't work for me. My son is just too comfortable. I joke and say it's because it's so cold outside and snowy and he is just too warm in there. (I live in Michigan where it's cold and snowy)

Btw I have only shared what I've been feeling this past month.  I have no shared my complications in the beginning of my pregnancy. It's been absolutely no walk in the park and lots of hospital visits..

I've been given 3 different due dates by 3 different doctors.  January 5 - 8th , January 30th the one I go by since it's in the middle but doesn't match up to my last period.  & February 6th. 《 absolutely no clue how they came up with that one..

just throwing this out there: it's her body, her baby. let her make her decisions. if you don't agree with it, simply bite your tongue. everyone does have a right to their own opinions, but also remember that everyone has feelings. we're all pregnant, hormonal, and achy. and of course, none of our pregnancies are identical. just remember to be mindful of how the OP is feeling. or how others may feel as well. it is a public forum, so yes, there will be judgment. but also know that people vent, rant, and question for either comfort or advice. be constructive, because you don't know the person's situation completely.

this isn't directed towards anyone specifically, just a reminder to everyone to be humble and thoughtful of each other!

She's stated her issues She was having? It's not hard to read her comments or past comments to know her issues this pregnancy. Just because I don't "shed light" or talk about things that have gone on during my pregnancy does not mean it's been a "perfect" pregnancy. Funny how people can bash me for having an opinion, yet not bash the moms trying to self induce before their baby is full term. How crooked that is. But I am so over this post, I was done when I wrote my last comment to Destini. Obviously you ladies are just trying to add fuel to a fire that was already out.

@Bsny20. May I ask who are you to judge what she is doing?? If you don't agree or like it keep going. If you are not going to wish her the best of luck stop commenting. Like why so much negativity? If you don't have anything positive to say don't even waste your time. You do what's best for you and yours. And leave others and their personal choices alone.

You're right, I have no idea. But I do know that you jumping on her for doing this when you know nothing about it is wrong. And if you said you were done commenting, why continue to comment? It shouldn't matter that someone else comnented DEFENDING her. You said you were done, so be done. Just because this forum is public doesn't mean she was seeking YOUR opinion. In fact, nowhere in her post did she ask for ANY opinions. And "just stating your opinion" sure sounded like bashing to a lot if us.

If you don't want someone judging what they believe is a "perfect" pregnancy because they "don't know your pregnancy" really should shed some light on yourself you don't know this girls pregnancy your point was made long before you stopped! Now that that's over hopefully everyone can get back to the topic at hand !!

If your doctor are going to medically induce you then that's different. Just be prepared that you have about a 75% that your baby will be in the nicu. I pray everything go well with you and your little one. I have also had contractions sense about 24 horrible sense 30 weeks. Not to mension severre pelvic pain. I totally understand horrible discomfort.  If they have you on bed rest though isn't that them attempting to cease the contractions?

For you to call it perfect** Also, you said in your post to Destini "none of us know what you're going through" so how can you sit there and claim my pregnancy to be "perfect" when you have no idea?

@Beaz95, you have no idea what my pregnancy has been like for your to call it "perfect". This is a PUBLIC forum where I can state my opinion anywhere. I was not bashing, just stating an opinion. Clearly, I let it go and said all I had to say. As stated in my last reply with in the sentence starting with "anywho" and ending in "healthy" I was done commenting until you sparked the flame that was already out. So why don't you follow your own advice and "butt out".

BSny20, she didn't ask for your input, nor did she ask for your bashing. So just stop commenting and leave her alone. Clearly if her doc said it's okay, then IT'S OKAY!!!!! Not everyone has a perfect pregnancy like yourself, so butt out. I'm being induced in a week, but I'm self-inducing so that I won't have to go through all of that. Destini, you go ahead and induce your heart out. None of us know what you're going through, so don't let anyone get to you. You don't have to explain anything to anyone.

It has to be 100% real orange juice so if it says that it should be fine & has to be whole milk.. it's very thick when drinking and doesn't taste all that well I had to chug it and have a glass of water after.

A soon as I was done my tummy got hard and felt very full, about 20-30 mins later I had really really bad back pain ( I was laying down ) nd some contractions.  I layed in bed to go to sleep and toss and turned for 2 hours before I ever fell asleep.  I woke up this morning with (period) cramps. It's 12pm now and I still have incredible back pain.
Going to try another glass tonight and see what that does.
I have a doctors appointment Tomorrow at 9am so we'll see if it's done anything

I wish we did have that option, Destini. Btw, how well is this drink working for you guys so far? I wanna try it but I'm scared. Can you use oj concentrate to make the oj and mix that with milk or does it have to be already made oj?

Actually, you never said you're being induced. You said so you don't have to be medically induced. When are they going to medically induce you? Why would you want your baby out any sooner than them medically inducing you? 34 weeks is still young for your baby. The last weeks in the womb are the most critical. You can have contractions and not dilate. If you're only at 2cm then your contractions that are causing you to dilate will dilate you more on their own. Anywho, with that being said I have nothing more to say to you other than good luck and hoping for a safe and healthy baby and delivery. I don't agree with what you're doing, but I would not wish something bad on you or your baby. So hopefully you and your baby turn out fine. At the end of the day we're talking about babies and we all want them to be healthy.
