6wks pregnant&low hormone levels...

Today I went to the hosp & they took my blood... when they talked to me & gave me an ultrasound they said they were concerned bc my level was 953, said it was very low. I'm worried bc they said it may mean ectopic preg or miscarriage. They did say it could be I'm earlier than they think but that they are monitoring my hcg levels for the next wk so now every 48hrs I have to go to the lab & get blood taken then next thurs I'll get another ultrasound & then I'll know if my baby's okay... has this happened to anyone else? I'm really scared & I hope the baby's going to make it. I looked up hcg levels & mine aren't very low from what I see... any suggestions or positive insights?

They are testing you every 48 hours because though the numbers are low, the real importance is if they are rising.  If your numbers are doubling every 48-72 hours then you are fine..  Hope you have positive results over the next week.. Try to relax a bit.. do some nice things for you to get through the time

Hi there..I am going through the exact same thing you are..My levels are 1605 (as of last Fri)..when i went to the dr, she did an internal U/S and found ONLY thickening of my uterus..nothing else. I have my next U/S next thursday also, so you and i are in the same boat...I pray that everything is ok for both of us.
