So sorry! I've had two natural M/Cs and they weren't awful...the emotional part was worse I think. I was 4 1/2 weeks with the first and that was like a light period. Got pregnant right away and lost that baby at 8 weeks. That one I had bad cramping and spent all afternoon on the toilet passing small clots. The key for me was to relax. The pain was a lot easier to manage then. And have someone be with you. Be prepared for throwing up/headache/general unwell feelings along with cramps. That was last week and occasionally I have bouts of cramping and will pass another clot but its definitely about over. If heavy bleeding persists definitely call ur doc, otherwise,I felt much more relaxed just being at home.

Dilation and curettage (D&C) is a procedure to remove tissue from inside your uterus. If you want to know more Google it

I had a miscarriage last July at 8 weeks. My baby came out on its own. For me it was extremely painful and took vicodin for about 2 weeks. I also bled for about 3 weeks. It's different for everyone though. Some women don't even notice they miscarry or have to get a d&c. So sorry for your loss:(

a d&c is the same procedure as an abortion, only the baby is already passed away.
they scrape the inside of your uterus 'lightly' and suck out everything :S
I had a natural miscarriage at 5wks and everything came out all at once. felt like labor. and my other 'natural' miscarriage was at 16wks and I was induced and had a little boy. but not all the placenta came out so I had to have a d&c anyways after.
they can either give you pills you take orally, or they can give you something to put near your cervix to start the process. naturally - without help - it could take weeks. it took a total of 4wks after they told me the baby had no heartbeat and I didn't want anything to start it off. by the time my body actually passed all the tissue, from the minute I started bleeding, was almost a month :(
so sorry for your loss.

I had a miscarriage in September. I was 8 weeks 4 days whenever my baby stopped growing :( I didn't get any pain pills. However I did cramp a lot and yes, for me, it was painful. :( not bad enough though to where I couldn't handle it. About a day and a half after is when my body started the process on its own. I never realized how much you could possibly bleed so it was very scary for me. I wish someone would have told me just so I could be more prepared. Also a lot of blood clots. :( I'm so so so sorry that anyone has to go through this. I will be praying for you.

I had a missed miscarriage twice. Both went got an ultrasound and no heart beat. I had to have a d&c both times because my body never realised I had miscarried.

When I had my miscarriage it wasn't that painful but it depends on how far you are before miscarriage. Your body is literally going into labor to expell they deceased fetus so yes it can be
