ultrasounds?

Hi when do they do the first ultrasound? I'm currently 6 weeks, and have my first appointment in july just wondering if they'll do it then?

They like to wait for your first ultrasound to be when your like 12wks along.

Uhm.. No. It really depends on your doctor. I went to my first appointment yesterday, and they want me to get a sonogram this week. I am 10 weeks along. You will probably only have a sonogram if you aren't sure on your last period date on your first appointment though. They won't use a Doppler until you are 12 weeks though.

Last pregnancy had my first ultrasound done at 8 weeks and 3 days and this pregnancy had my first one done at 9 weeks and 3 days . They gotta do one to make sure there's a baby in there . Even if your blood test and pee test come back that your pregnant , doesn't always mean there's a baby ..... So they gotta do one at your doc app and to see how far along you are and tell you your due date . This is my 3rd pregnancy but only 2nd baby . Cause my first pregnancy , pee test and blood test come back I was pregnant but when they did an ultrasound , there was only the sac but no baby .

I had one at my first appointment at 6 weeks to confirm pregnancy and get a due date.

My first ultrasound was via vaginal at 6 weeks 3 days..it was to confirm pregnancy..they were able to measure fetal heartbeat at 120 bpm,and my expected due date is Jan 31. My next appt isn't until July 21.

It depends on your doctor and insurance because I had my first ultrasound when I was 5weeks

I had mine in the er at 6weeks n 2days.. then my first one from the doc at 9 weeks n i go back at 12 weeks for the downsyndrome test.
