when I had my D&C I had to remove everything nail polish jewelry everything. I had on fake nails though and I went to have my surgery and I told the doctor I didn't know I wasn't allowed to have fake nails they did say no fingernail polish but I just had fake nails on didn't think about it honestly. they left them on just because there Would be more of a hasslW to take them off right before the surgery than anything

If you have just polish on usually they'll just remove it at the hospital so its beat to just not have it done at all

They need to put a pulse oximeter on you when you have surgery to make sure your getting proper oxygenation.it goes on your finger (it can go other places but that's the most accurate) and if you have fake nails or polish on you will not get a reliable reading.

I've seen a lot of people have their nails painted or done wHile in labor, maybe it just depends on your doctor
