uterine fibroids

Hey ladies I'm back.Long time no hear from. Well I have finally been diagnosed with uterine fibroids. Have been with df for 5 years and no babies yet. Just wanted to say hey. I have been on my second shot of Lupron with no success of stopping the excessive bleeding. I was even placed in the ICU for severe anemia because of the bleeding.   OB doesn't want to do any surgery because my iron level was at a 3 when i walked into the E.R. everyone was amazed that i was able to walk and talk. God had a plan for me and It wasn't my time to go. I am just struggling with the idea that I might not ever be a mommie. because if they can't stop the bleeding I might have to have a hysterectomy. There is other options but the uterine fibroids could come back. I don't want them to come back I want them one. My iron leel right now is at 8.6. When i left the ICU my iron level was at a 9.1. I had 3 pint of blood. My LMP was just last week and i bleed for 15 days straight , I thought i was going to hemmorrahge to death. Went to the E.R. again they didn't do anything left there and went straight to the OB who gave me my second shot of Lupron that mess didn't work either. I also was placed on two different birth controls that didn't stop the bleeding either. I was sitting in the OB office with the OB and he yelled out damn. I was like yeh say damn again.I'm 28 years old and have been a member since i believe 2007.

I know your pain because I also have fibroids and I have had blood tranfusions, lupron shot, northerdrone, a period for three straight months, etc. However, don't give up hope I did the lupron treatments then went to the pills for about a year and after that I had my son. (and I had actually scheduled the removal surgery). But it looks like I will have to go back through all the motions with the fibroid treatments because i m/c in April 2011 and the doc is sure I'm m/c now. But trust me it will get better, my level was at a 5.

I am so sorry you are having these problems.  I pray they find a solution for you.  I have no advice on this, as I have never had these, but I do pray they find a solution or even that someone else on here may know something.

Hey Honey your back!!! Sorry to hear about the fibroids. I pray they find a solution for you that will allow you to have children. So glad that your back :-)
