For the moms who have been induced before
I'm getting the cervidil Sunday night to soften, ripen and help dilate my cervix. Anyone has any experience with this if so plz tell me what all went down and how you felt about it.
My actual due day is the 20th but so ready to have him. He's dropped extremely low they say they can feel his head which is crazy bc I'm in no pain. Just always having to pee lol
Oh and they consider my a high risk due to abnormal quad screen earlier in pregnancy. I went to a specialist and they did keep a close eye on my boy, but he's perfect they said. He shows no signs of birth defects. They just say since my levels were abnormal that it means I'm high risk for labor complications.
They didn't tell me nothing I had to google it smh doc was like we'll explain when you check in on Sunday they just said to eat a big meal before hand. I was hoping to go into labor naturally by Saturday but I'm still at two cm and just 50% effaced. And haven't had a single contraction :/ just ready to meet my boy.
I had cervidil with my son. They just inserted a little ballon into your cervidil into your cervix its like a little ballon. They usually leave it in for about 12 hrs once your cervix is dialated enough your water may break if not theyll go ahead and break your water bag and they may give you pitocin to bring on stronger contractions. That was the process when i got induced. But it all depends on how your body does once theyre done with the cervidil. Hope this gave you an idea of what to expect.
