NO fetal heartbeat at 7 weeks

I am 7 weeks along, and at first my doc was worried about my hormone levels. they had only gone from 4800-6535 in 2 days...they are now at 32,000 and i went and had a ultrasound, internal and external...but no heartbeat was found. is it possible its still too early? i do not want to give up and have it aborted, but im scared it could hurt me. has anyone else not seen a heartbeat but still turned out okay later?
(he suggested "missed miscarriage")
i need help, im lost and scared.
unfortunately i do not have a primary doc, i am waiting for my medicaid to clear. so i have been visiting the emergency only.
i usually go to the indian health services, but here in gville, they have no OBGYN...

I would wait it out hun. Like pp said if you have a tilted uterus it can make it difficult to see a heart beat. If you aren't having any cramping or bleeding, I wouldn't worry too much.(i know easier said than done). Your numbers are going up so that is a good thing. If they start going down then thats when you know there has been a m/c. I'm sorry you are going through all this right now. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.

This is a very emotional thing to go through. i myself had the same thing happen and i lost the baby a few days later at home with no complications. if your hcg levels are going down that most likely means you will miscarry. you will probally pass the baby at home. in some cases the doctor may order a dnc in which they will go up and suction and scrape your uterus for fetel tissue. im sorry for your loss and good luck with future babies.

At this point nothing would hurt you. Wait it out and see what happens. I'm not sure about the technology in India but if it isn't up-to-date with European or American technology I wouldn't give it a second thought. If your uterus is tilted it might also be difficult to see a heartbeat.

Wait it out and see what happens. If you do begin to cramp and bleed, however, I would assume that you are miscarrying. If you don't there's still hope so keep your chin up! I've been in your shoes a few times so I KNOW how scary it is in limbo. *HUGS*
