vaginal exams

At what week do they start doing vaginal exams? Not that I'm in any hurry, just curious! :-)

Every Dr. and Midwife is different.  A lot won't do one until 37 weeks unless they have reason to believe you need it sooner.  Some will do it when you have your beta strep test at 36 weeks...some won't.  I figure you have to take everything of and they are down there anyway why not check.

I'm 37 wk n 1 day, saw midwife Friday just gone and she didn't do it then n didn't mention it, I next see her on the 10 of Feb which will be 11 days till due date so not sure if she will do one then

Where I am Portsmouth uk, they don't until a week past your due date! Then they will give a stretch and sweep at that point.

I'm pretty sure the thing that I got from my dr said that started about a month before your due date.  maybe even 2 weeks before.  his handwriting is really bad..
