sorry i cant help but really worry myslef how have you worked out the hours of mine doubling ?? xx
also it isn't uncommon for hcg levels and ultrasounds to not match. mine didn't match. i had a higher hcg level but when i got an ultrasound they weren't consistent. i was told i might have a missed miscarriage as when i was supposed to be 7 weeks, i was only measuring 5 and no baby was seen but everything turned out to be a ok, my daughter is 7 months old now! :)
its so difficult to say what is normal and what isn't as hcg levels vary so much between women and between pregnancies. but all i know is that yours are within the normal range... normal is 48-72 hours in early pregnancy and when you get to be about 6/7 weeks even up to 84 hours is considered normal. yours are 74.6, but like i said 15% of normal pregnancies are STILL slower than 72 hours. and yours are BARELY slower.
i thought it was important that the double every 48 hours in early pregnancy ??
xx
i will check that website out now thankyou for your replies, i aint totally clued up about these hcg blood levels its all new to me
xx
oh and it also says in 15% of normal pregnancies the hcg takes more than 72 hours to double. :)
your hcg levels are doubling every 74.6 hours! which is good!! 24-72 is a rough estimate and 74 is normal and healthy as far as i know!! here is the link i got that from, just take out the spaces:

but my hcg levels were in the 800s on the 7th which was 10 days ago and now there 2500 am so worried i dont know whats been going on since the last time i had them but 2 weeks ago nothing was seen in the scan but now today a sac ,
i cant work out my dates but all i know is my periods are regular give are take a few days but my first day of my last period was september the 25th, i had the morning after pill on the 2nd october and played it all safe that month,
october 25th comes no period, however i ahve had the morning after pill i the past and it delayed my period by 10days
me and my partner deceided on trying for a baby in november we had sex between the 4th and 12th of november and a week after , so i must of conceived any time between then
i got the positive preg test on the friday 3rd december
he is as nervous as me , as the last time was unplanned and found out on the scan it had stopped growing 5 wk 6d and my body did not reconigse this
i am so gratefull for your replies :)
xxxx
if you conceived 5/6 weeks ago you may not even be 5 weeks yet and it would be too early to tell. hcg levels can vary A LOT and the numbers aren't as important as the fact that they are doubling every 24-72 hours, which yours are doing. it sounds like all is well so far! ill be praying for you and your little baby!! keep us posted please!
the one you had today may have just been to early to see it.
I am so very sorry for your prior loss. I also experienced a miscarriage and it was the most horrible thing I've ever gone through. I think it makes us panic even more when we get pregnant again. It sounds to me like baby is growing and your hcg is raising well. I would try not to worry I know easier said than done. It's still too early to see heartbeat or anything so just keep getting blood work and schedule your next ultrasound. It does sound like your pregnancy is progressing. I know it's hard to have faith or trust everything is ok but do your best and know that all us MedHelp ladies are here to talk to. Many of us have experienced misscariage so we know how truly devastating it is and how scared it makes you when you do get pregnant again.
