very confused

hi all. my husband and I went for our scheduled u/s on sep 20th, i'm on my 10th week but it showed that my embryo is only 6 wks and 4 days, no FHR. we're in so much agony (it's our first baby), our last u/s prior to this one showed a strong FHR @ 6 weeks. we were advised by our doctor to either wait for the nature to take it's course or i can have pills to faster the process.  i'm so confused, i don't know what to do.  please help.

I didn't recommend anything to her. I told her what had happened to me and that I got the D & C and that if doctor offered it that I would suggest it because I've heard that having it naturally really sucks. She'll do what she wants to do telling her what I did isn't a bad thing and if she asks her doctor about it the least he'll say is that "thats not a good option for you". So chill and stop telling people to "please not post something".

Please do not recommend surgery (D&C) to people who you do not know, and whose medical history you do not know.  
Perhaps there was a good reason her doctor recommended the pills.  

To the poster, I'm sorry this has happened to you.  If you are having a hard time emotionally dealing with this, by all means return to your doctors office and ask what can be done next.

If could cause and infection if you body doesnt do its thing naturally. I got the D & C because it had been weeks and my body still hadnt released it. I can understand the feeling of being overwhelmed its just such a sad thing and I am SO sorry that you are going through this. If it makes you feel better I would suggest getting a D & C done because it is alot less painful plus because it completely cleans you out it actually makes it easier to become pregnant again. Within six weeks of my D & C was pregnant again and now I am 26 weeks along. Hopefully everything will work out okay. If you ever need someone to talk to you can email me.

thank you for the reply. i wasn't given the option of D&C. my doctor told me that if in a week nothing happens, he'll going to do another u/s and take it from there. the waiting is too much for me. i'm thinking of going back to his office this monday and take the pills to faster up the process. i'm so overwhelmed, i can't sleep, eat and i feel so empty. do you think D&C is a better option? i'm have no pains, cramps or bleeding at this time, is it gonna affect my health if i wait for nature to take it's course?

You had a missed miscarriage. Its when the fetus stops developing but your body doesn't do its thing. I had one earlier this year strong heartbeat at 6 weeks at 9 nothing. I was given a D & C. I am so sorry that you are going through this!
