I took Hydrocodone during my pregnancy for a tooth ache and severe back pain. My son was fine. He's developing at normal rate and weighed 8lbs 15oz. As for CPS if your doc perscribed it then there is no reason as to why they should be involved. But if you are worried about this start tappering down around 36 weeks when the chance of going into labor goes up. I took it up until my 38th week and he was fine at birth. No withdrawls or anything. But as long as you have a script they should not get involved.
I agree with Alexis if you are taking the narcotics because they were prescribed by your doctor, CPS should not get involved..
It is true that they would be involved if you were taking it without your doctors knowledge... Generally doctors wont prescribe narcotics unless they are doing your regular care so I am assuming this doctor is...
If your doctor perscribed it they shouldnt have cps involved. If you still have the same doctor I would get a second opinion from another doctor. And call where you are going to deliver and ask them as well.
