vomiting- when will it stop

Just found out I am pregnant... not as excited as I should be only 23 just graduated from college and planing on going back to pursue my masters but I'm hoping I can manage a baby with school and work.....

My question is I have morning sickness only a month into my pregnancy... will this ever go away? Its not just morning either its all day long. Will it get worse? Is there anything I can take to get rid of it? Help, this is such a horrible feeling!

I had nausea and vomiting from 5 weeks till I delivered at 39 weeks. It really varies depending on the female in question and her reaction to the hormones. You can talk to your doctor about something to help the nausea, as well as trying home remedies.

Even though I don't tend to have morning sickness on my pregnancies, 70% women tend to have them during their first trimester. For those who do have them is something inevitable! And sometimes it will last all 40 weeks, I'm sorry you have this problem but I was told by my doctor that there is some soothing methods to survive MS.  This include: potato chips, lemons, lemonade, gelatin, watermelon, raspberry tea, ginger snaps, avocados, popsicles, graham crackers, yogurt, peppermint, baked potatoes, and rice cakes. Have in mind every woman is different in most ways! So it might work for some women and might not. Any concern should always be directed to your Doc or midwife for safer grounds. As though most women have this issue I don't have it at all. But I ask question to my Doc so I can educate myself if I ever was to have MS. I hope my answer helps you and god luck!

drug stores usually have over the counter nausea medicines, ask your doctor about which ones are safe for you to take. My morning sickness started a month after conception and lasted 3 months. I'm 18 weeks now and it's starting to come back slowly. Everyones different though. I had no appetite at all, i only ate crackers and drank lots of water.

Talk to your dr, there are things they can give you, try drinking ice cold water, sour candies. They have things called preggo pops, I've never used them but I've heard that they are just like sour candies...Try eating small frequent meals instead of three large ones. The above poster is right, most people see it go away or at least decrease by the second trimester, around 12 weeks...but I have friends that had it continue throughout the whole pregnancy. Don't take any medication without consulting your dr first, they'll be the ones to ask to see if it's safe or not. I hope you feel better soon! Having been through two pregnancies already, I know what it's like..I didn't actually vomit that many times, I was just nauseated most of the entire first trimester with both, and it did continue a little with my second into the second trimester, but was in now way comparable to the first trimester. Good luck with school, work, and raising a baby there's many women out there who have done it and you are an amazing person to say that you're willing to do it! You should be proud of yourself!

most of the time it goes away around the 2nd trimester.. you can talk to your Dr about options... i took diclectin to help me function through out the day, in my next pregnancy i am gonna try those accupuncture wrist bands called sea bands (if needed) they helped for car sickness when i was little and i hope they will work with that too.. but yes its brutal to not be able to function and i hope it doesnt last long for you...
