Thanks, you all are very helpful.
I honestly wouldn't worry about the Zofran. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and just ran out about a month ago and had been taking them since I was about 11 or so weeks. My baby is just fine. They say every medicine will cause birth defects and what not. But if Zofran caused birth defects and they've been prescribing it since 1990 to women with morning sickness they would have caught on by now and wouldn't prescribe it anymore.
There are these wonderful things called ******* Pops, they come in small hard candy size or in lollipop form. They are all natural and are infused with natural oils that help with nausea, also with the prenatal vitamins I take half at night and the other in the am. Try the sniff test. Smell it first. If it smells funny it's not gonna work with your tummy. I did all of this and it worked wonders for me.
Mint or ginger tea can help. Also sucking on hard candies. Sounds crazy but my friend swears by it. Eating small meals of bland foods (think the BRAT diet for getting over stomach flu) frequently may help. Keep crackers or something on your bedside table and munch a few every time you wake up at night and right when you wake up in the morning. If you have prenatals, try to take them at night and with food. Good luck!
The only thing that would help me is if i would keep sprite with me all the time and take a sip if i started to feel sick
Thanks.. I have nausea pills but I'm scared to take them because all of the commercials I see about zofran.
Eat breakfast, don't skip meals and eat often but a little at a time. I always have snacks with me. Also gingerale is great and crackers. But ask your doctor to prescribe nausea medicine it works great.
